That’s because those batteries use lithium-ion cell technology, of which the inherent fire and explosion hazards are well documented. That’s why we built our batteries around inherently safe and virtually non-combustable LTO cells.
And to make LTO great all around, our engineers solved the shortcomings holding back LTO technology so far. In the process, they invented what we call Smart Circuit LTO (SC-LTO), turning traditional LTO weaknesses into strengths.

Check their specifications. Read their fine print. Most regular batteries claim a life span of 3,000 to 7,000 ‘cycles’, or three to seven years. Some say less, some a little more. With a guaranteed life span of 20,000 cycles, or 20 years, and an expected life span of 30,000 cycles, or 30+ years, our super battery outlasts those old-generation batteries by about a factor 3 or more.
But there's more. If one cell in an old-school battery dies, the whole battery is dead, regardless of the theoretical number of cycles it could have run. Not so with Thormeister: if a cell dies, the other cells simply continue operating, ensuring that your battery remains functional much longer.

Furthermore, standard energy storage systems are sensitive when it comes to working under cold or hot conditions. Their listed specs are usually of their top performance, normally at an ambient temperature of 25ºC (77ºF). At below 5ºC (41ºF) and over 35ºC (95ºF) most of these regular batteries have a hard time keeping up: their efficiency drops dramatically or they stop working altogether. Therefore, these batteries require energy sucking external cooling and ventilation systems, or climate-controlled spaces.
No need for these energy consuming counter measures with Thormeister. And since our batteries are 'IP65' waterproof, you can install them almost anyplace, indoors or out.
